Using natural resources in a sustainable way is one of the best way to teach children that harmony between human beings and the environment is both possible and necessary. This public school did not have regular access to clean water and required children to rotate hauling water from their homes. CASSA installed a rain catchment system where the large roof area was used to capture as much rainwater as possible and store it in a 12,000 liter cistern for storage, to be distributed by a water pump.
