It is vitally important to separate residual grey water to reduce the impact of the wastewater we generate. In Guatemala, blackwater, greywater and rainwater drain into the same piping system, more than tripling the amount of blackwater, which mostly goes untreated into lakes and rivers. In this proyect, grey water was separated in a house that way already built and they were utilized for an indoor garden, thus reducing further contamination of acquifers and reducing the amount of clean water used for gardening.
